I've got stock 24mm rear torsion bars (137lb) and I'm fitting 150lb springs to the rear shocks (effective rate of 63lb) so 200lb rear all up,
I use the car on Sydneys shit roads and being a cab I'm going for a slightly warmed up stock setting

That should be ok then, you could even go stiffer but if the roads are nightmare maybe not!

I've got 170lbs front and 220lbs rear T bars + 80lbs Coils, (so about 265lbs total) but the coils also have helper springs
which are open at rest, this gives a dual rate where the first 1" approx only has the Torsion Bar resistance then after the inch of travel the extra 45lbs adds to the T bars. The front dampers are set higher than the rears though but it all works well on a
Lightweight (1040kg) car

Do you get any noise (tapping/knocking) when your helper springs fully compress?

Not that I've heard ! but I wear Ear Muffs as the Exhaust is loud ! (only 1 box and straight through)

It’s been a while since I looked in my post here and whoa, it’s all been going on.
I have now got the job completed and I’m delighted with the results.

Very simple compared to J.C. And others work. I got the adapter from Sportwagen.de. I telephoned and Michael, the owner, spoke great English and was super helpful. It arrived in 3 or 4 days. These have been welded on to the struts, new B6 dampers fitted and poly flex poly bushes all round.

The result is just what I was after. It doesn’t feel like a track car, but it feels brand new. Sharp. Tight. It rides smoothly without the rattles and clanks of a cab.

All in all, Greg result from a straightforward job. Geo done makes a big difference too.

I have done the simple rears with B6 and the difference is noticeable immediately, then replaced the rear ARB bushes with new Superflex Poly for a 911 (same size), the wallowy wayward rear end is now much more under control.

the next job is the inner trailing arm bushes and spring plates, I have new spring plates from WPO 10th of the price of porsche ones

next year some time
