Well, I took the plunge and purchased a white 944S today and I already love it :)
Car is very tidy with virtually no sign of age either inside or out, only a small tear on the drivers seat bolster. All the electrics work (sunroof/windows/mirrors/seats/rear wiper you name it). The only fault I can find is that the accelerator is a bit jerky (as mentioned in an earlier post). It has the usual box file of receipts/records along with the owners manual and even has the sunroof cover !
No doubt other faults may occur as I get used to her but for now I am well pleased :)
I will put up some pics if the weather improves tomorrow (and I can stop myself from driving around in it ;) )

yet another 944S good on you :D , i wonder if the throttle jerkiness is in comparison to more modern cars, or are the cables 20 years old and getting a bit sticky ?

Apologies to dial up users

As promised, heres a few pics (sorry taken with mobile whilst raining :( )

Also, had a quick look under the bonnet, and my throttle cable seems to be very loose which may explain the jerky feel. I will investigate further if/when the weather improves.

I dont think it looks to bad for a £2000 car :)

Looks good!

Throttle cable can be adjusted at the throttle body end.

Regards,
Adam

Having had a quick look it looks relatively easy enough (famous last words ! ) the cable is so loose you can almost lift it over the little pully wheel. I assume this isn't normal

I think they stretch with age! Mine was slack but there was enough adjustment to cure it fortunately. Eventually I will need a new 'un though I think.

No that's not normal. It should be tight enough so that with the first bit of movement you can hear the throttle position switch click.

I've driven one without PAS & I couldn't have lived with it. It is possible to retrofit it but you need a new front cover as the pump bracket is part of it.
