Having just acquired a 968 sport, I want it to look as good as it goes (and my god does it go well!). I have purchased a full set of rubber seals and piping for the sills/bumpers/headlights etc.
It seems as though the old brittle ones will simply pull out, but does anyone know if the new soft rubber ones just push in, or will parts of the bodywork need to be removed like the bumpers, sill covers etc??

Thanks

They'll need to come off :( budget for broken bolts, nuts and clips as well, probably £200+ if you need to replace the lot... Patience is the key :D

There's a detailed write up here on the side skirts:

As Blackadder30 states you will need to take them all off

The fronts are stalled on from the factory so add a staple gun to your shopping list, all new clips and body fixings for the side skirts or they will flap about, there is one a side that is different make sure you get it in the right place

The rear bumper is fun, when you remove the rear lights there are studs at the top 3mm one or both will break, real pain in the @&£"

Making sure all the parts are clean so the seals fit properly is also key to getting it right

PITA is an understatement :D whatever you do... DONT CUT THEM DOWN TO FIT! They shrink over time so you'll need to squeeze the whole thing in from new. A soak in warm water helps soften them :D

I may just take the seal kit back to Porsche!!! Ha ha ha

Ok, thanks guys. It's definitely a job where I need a clear day, patience and no kids biting round my ankles. I'll pencil it In for September.....2024

You might need a extra set of hands for the front and rear PU they not heavy but very hard to control on your own

Having done all the rubbers 3 times now on different cars
