996's have plummetted in value, £20k will get you a good example around 2000/01 but anything post march 2000 will cost you loads on car tax, also a 996 would also be more useable as a day to day car, but would you be able to not worry about it getting stonechips, getting wet !! and not getting cleaned and polished after every trip ? the choice is yours

Mar 2001 actually e.g. 51 plate & newer.

i knew that , actually march 2001 is Y plate, 51 is september 2001

Clive if you do sell it and the Alfa, then you could do worse than to replace them with another Turbo like your old one and drive it everyday:

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/727452.htm

Only this one is literally like a brand new car - total glass out respray, new engine, new modern turbocharger, new suspension, new brakes etc. It's been built by the guy who builds the engines for Jon Mitchell and he has totally gone to town on it 8)

Blimey! If it's as good as they say it is (and I have no reason to doubt) then that is a jolly good price.

Think I saw this one on the road today. Certainly caught my eye and the dealer does have a good reputation in the area.
