Pro9 front spoiler fitted, after repairing crack and painting. It fits perfectly. Cut access holes to front screws with a B&Q wood auger at 22mm and used some rubber bungs from Wicks. Magnetic screwdiver was a must but everything lined up. The fitting kit from Arnworx helped greatly.

I insured it for my son to drive it as we are going to Spa together in May and he insists on driving the 968.

Been busy Blackadder! Enjoying all the pictures.

I never had worked out how to open up the tach/speedo etc... I'd though that surround was plastic. Another job on the list.

Cheers Gryphon :D

I do find loads of pics helps the reassembly

Loving Endomans new spoiler, looks integral which is pretty neat :D

Hoping to make Spa myself David - may get the 968 over there if the 944 isn't ready in time....

Before the 924 is back on the road at the end of the month I've spent the evenings fitting various bits I've stockpiled

- New front antiroll bar bushes
- Retro fitted the rear anti roll bar
- Fitted the larger throttle body and machined the inlet manifold to match
- Replaced the driveshaft output seals on the gearbox and new gearbox oil put in
- Refitted the dash cap as it creaked after initially fitting it

Going to do an oil\filter change this evening but hopefully enough changes all at once to notice the difference when its back on the road :D

my 944 8v passed its MOT today on the 2nd attempt after
cleaning out the handbrake drums of rust again.(I should use it more often)
new front shocks (just got standard Sachs jobbies)
new front to rear brake pipe (tiny leak hidden away behind the front wheel arch liner)
new front wishbone balljoints
new rear silencer
I replaced all the brake pipes in the end but getting that last bit of air out was a real pain. Had to resort to a gunsons pressure bleeder.

should go over 200,000 miles shortly so just about run in now.

Replaced fuel pump and injectors. Had to cut the pump strap and the unions were so tight on the pressure side. Starting problems gone. Spins up quicker surprisingly, fires first time hot and cold. Pretty sure the check valve was goosed causing poor hot starts and the cleaned injectors are working better. Not happy with the pump to filter hose so ordered a new one, genuine Porsche cheaper than a local scrapper posted on ebay. (always double check). Bled brakes a bit spongey after track day. Tried some Bilberry wheel cleaner, not as effective as I hoped but ok with a bit of scrubbing.

I went out for a ride in my 968 to a Bentley Drivers Club lunch. The 968 was superb and the old Bentleys that were there looked interesting too.

Ordered a new front shield badge and mount, and a rear "944 s2" badge from my opc. Going to send Mrs Al out to sell her body to pay for them. Ain't cheap!

Visited the trimmers today with my tonneau cover and enquired about making one in burgundy to match my new roof. Quoted "around £400" so that got shelved but, they can take the binding off the tonneau and replace it with burgundy to match the roof.

I also fitted a Pro9 front splitter to my S2 a few years ago. It is not only cosmetic but also a wonder in the bends! Just be careful of the high parking kerbs. I fitted a camera just to check

I only removed the AFM as I had noticed that the bottom plastic cover was falling off! There are quite a few interesting YouTube vids about this item, as it fits many cars eg BMWs etc. I cleaned all the contacts etc with cotton buds/meths (lots of black in the wiper tracks) but was unable to get the spindle drive off, which was a bit odd, as it all looked liked ally but the pin steel. Anyway - cleaned the whole unit out and reassembled. Road test looked good to the ear and the pedal...

Sorry - the pic is not great...
