1990 944 S2 Cabriolet - new to the site looking for pictures

Post by robertlhx »

In the process of restoring interior and chasing down electrical issues. It would be a huge help to see "how to" pictures of anything on the interior. At the moment working on a rusted battery shelf, and airbag ecu and all the electronics under the passenger side area, under glove box. I have left hand drive car.

Next to tackle replacing convertible top and then carpeting, not necessarily in that order. The carpet is a mess and researching suppliers now. Top candidates- World Upholstery, Trim Parts and ricambi-automobilia...any recommendations appreciated....

The convertible top motor has been replaced recently, but it does not seem to work smoothly and does not sound healthy. My guess is only one of the two motors was replaced. I have not taken the mechanism apart yet to look.

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob, iv just renewed all the sound deadening on my cab, new seats, i changed to cobeau, and am about to fit a complete new carpet kit from classic car carpets. it also going in for a respray and new hood.
But i have taken pictures of all the work and put them on my website. stuarthusband.com the pictures may help, all the work i have done has been on my drive, and is easy if you have the tools and a little mechanical ability.
I have also done a mod so that i can raise and lower the hood with the car running, that is great if you have the motors sorted.
