Im resurrecting this thread ahead of my belt change in a couple of weeks.
My question is re the URO water pumps we all picked up at a ridiculously low price a year or so ago.... and the question is whether there are any running reports on these pumps and more importantly whether there are any known failures....
I ask this question as John at Unit Eleven was dead against URO in any shape or form... GEBA, yes. URO, no. Whilst he didn't have any case evidence of a URO pump failing, he mentioned his contact at ECP said he would fit them in a million years.
This is an interesting view as ECP sell these indirectly under their CIRCOLI brand. ECP did have the GEBA option available at around £200 or so - can't remember if there vat on that or not. Porsche ones were around the £470 mark!!
Do I fit the URO one I bought for less than £70 some 15 months ago or do I spend the extra on GEBA or an OPC supplied original?
Answers on a postcard please
