944 brakes are normally pretty good, they were good enough for the 911 Turbo. When I ran a 944 & serviced others I found that the slides were normally seized up. A good clean and a little copa slip freed them up well. Otherwise there is a Boxster caliper conversion but it is a lot of money. Unless you're doing track days then I suspect they'd be overkill for a road car
