Home Garage Lift/Ramp

Post by Adamdyno »

I'm looking for some kind of lift for my Garage - I noticed you can get 4 point lifts for c£1k on ebay but due to height restrictions this would be over kill. I was looking at the Tilt ramps, link below. Has anyone got any experience of using them or know if they would work with 944 jack points?

The jacking point on a 944 is technically in the middle on a 944, indicated by the diamond indent. The 4 in the corners can be a bit soft if you overload them. That said that rig would support the weight fine in my view, having spent a lot of time under my car recently. You'd be best to take the sill covers off when using it.

Does it slide under without jacking the car up first?

and also - Does the lift rest on the sills or the jack points...Do you know what width you went for as there seems to be different sizes. Thanks,
