Spax RSX KIT

Has anyone used this kit on a square dash car ? i spoke to them today and they list the early car but say there for 86 on so im confused now ?

if any one has some how do they ride ? and is the back not to firm with the torsion bar and extra spring ?

Seem to remember there are 3 different kits one has no helper springs on the rear

The PSX is the kit that has no rear helper springs. I have it fitted on my 924 track car. Very happy with it. Be aware that you must re index the rear torsion bars to fit either kit as the rear shocks are actually shorter than standard as the kits are designed for cars that are lowered at least 35mm.

Bum, im strugglung to find anyone near me who can do thae re indexing so had settled for std ride height just wanted the better dampers and adjustability !

The yellow Koni Sports adjustable dampers would be good way to go. Europerformance had them on offer recently.

I went down this road, mine is an 83' car and the rsx kit is for 85.5 cars on wards.....

I had to settle for a psx kit which handles nicely although the rear is a bit bouncy and I have yet to have a proper set up and geo ( and I have not messed with the damper setting yet). It has lowered the car a bit which is no bad thing as I think the standard height does not quite look right...imo..

What will you use the car for? The other choice is to get holes cut in the side of the sills so that the beam can be indexed in situ.

Think you'll find there are people that can do it, it's just that they don't want to because of the PITA factor. That said, I have managed it on one car and will be doing the other this winter, if I can manage it on axle stands.....if you do decide to have a go yourself plan on losing several weekends for it, possibly more if you decide you dont like the look of the fuel pipes lol
