As the title suggests folks is there anywhere that does new nuts and bolts for the 944 as I don't want to re attach nice new parts with rusty lookin bolts any help would be appreciated thanks Danny

I replaced lots of bolts and nuts with A2 or A4 stainless, they are mostly 8.8 hardness bolts, the special bolts I got from OPC

Same here, ebay is quite good for suppliers of bolts.

I thought that using Stainless in some applications was a big no no due to its weaker strength. Saying that, I have used it on some parts of the engine in some of my cars like the thermostat housing, manifold bolts etc.

It is, but so to a certain extent is using Zinc plated steel ones. But yes for suspension it should be the originals. One big advantage of the Porsche spares list is they list the dimensions as well. If using stainless you should use anti seize paste as a matter of course.

I still have a massive collection from building a kit car many years ago, so I tend to replace from there.

Yes, although I'd generally avoid any stainless-into-stainless situation to avoid the risk of spalling as well.
