You should not be able to see the wax pot, just a cross bar and the top of the plunger should look fairly flat

In this shot you can just about make out the thermostat :):

Image

I ended up using a radiator from ECP - they are the same as what Porsche supply, hoses were from Berlyn Auto and the thermostat from OPC. I did have to get one hose from OPC as it was not available elsewhere at the time (the short stubby hose) and mine had something else bodged on from before ; almost all of my coolany hoses were swollen.

I can see the wax pot and the bar thats goes across it.

Also the radiator that the garage bought is supposed to be from the local porsche dealer at £330.00 but I don't think it is as it is all black and I can cleary see it is painted all over, would it come from Porsche like that?

I cannot say as I have never ordered a radiator from Porsche but do the tanks look new? I was told to paint my radiator to prevent the core from corroding ; it was the reason why I ended up painting my core.

They come from Porsche with the centre part clean silver aluminium and the plastic tanks on the end are black

As to the thermostat in the above picture it's the bottom part you should see not the part with the Spring

Hey Guy's, Thanks for all your replies I took it to Unit 11 Warrington and they installed the correct thermostat (supplied by myself) and new cooliant and it is running fine now, he also had a look other it too.

I do have one other question that I need your help with please, but I will do that in a new topic.

It's all sorted now thanks to John at Unit 11 Warrington who bled the system correctly and fitted the new correct thermostat that I supplied.

I am 100% sure the other garage created the problem to get more work out of me.
