1. it's a farce, the FIA say they want to see more overtaking in F1, then when someone does they get penalised for it!!!!

2. if lewis had stayed on line he would have launched himself over the kurb and t-boned kimi anyway

3. how could he have gained an advantage when he slowed down and crossed behind and through kimis dirty air before overtaking on the other side?

4. of course with hindsight, lewis could have just sat back for half a lap and have had a great view of kimi throwing it all away on his own

aside from this incident, lewis has got me interested in F1 again, it seems this season he alone has made more overtaking manouvres than the whole F1 circus had seen in the 5 years leading up to his arrival!

probably biased but so what,

stu.

Best F1 race for years great to see overtaking !
Hamilton win without any doubt what are the part time stewards doing ,in this day and age don t we need full time professional stewards to avoid this kind of error

Curiouser and curiouser! Check out autosport.com apparently Maclaren asked the stewards immediately if they were happy that Hamilton had given the place back to Kimi and were told it was ok! :?

on the tv interview straight after the race ron dennis said they sought the opinion of charlie whiting (f1 race director) and it was that the regulations had been complied with!

if lewis doesn't get his win back on appeal there is no justice.

if he does then any brits going to monza this weekend (my bro) will surely get a frosty welcome! :blackeye:

You could almost bet that the punishment will be extended just because Maclaren have decided to appeal.
That's the usual case unless they want to wear a red suit to the hearing :P

Don't know when the appeal will be heard , sometimes they are months later?

The FIA will probably wait till the end of the season and see if giving the points back stops Ferrari winning the title :D

Yes,Mark Hughes always writes a good article in Autosport,he knows his stuff allright.I cancelled my subscription last Christmas when Nigel Roebuck left to join Motor Sport as I was allready getting fed up of the controversy that F1 was.Theres no doubt in my mind that the Ferrari name sells F1 both to the multi national companies and to emerging countries both of which use it to showcase their businesses/industries etc. through the media to reach worldwide markets and Bernie knows how to exploit this to the full but needs to keep Ferrari winning to achieve this.So with a little help from his old friend Max..................!!

Interesting article. Hope some of the other drivers will speak out as well. Massa might decide he wants to win the championship & not have it gifted.

Some quality stuff on there!

PS
Anyone think it was strange that Hamilton and Raikonnen were both down in 14th and 15th for the Monza GP?
I think it was a slap on the wrist for them dished out by 'Bulls**t Bernie'

nah, nothing strange, hamilton/mclaren cocked up on tyre choice/weather reading and raikonnen is just shit in the rain (relatively speaking of course)
