What do you guys think of the outcome of yesterdays race ? I have looked at it twice now, and can not see what the problem is . I think Hamilton came into the bend side by side and was forced wide and had no option but to go onto the runoff, kept his foot in and rejoined the track slightly ahead , he knew the rules and gave back the place, switched back to the inside and took the place perfectly fairly (and then totally unfairly was smacked up the rear , no stewards comment on that one !!) Seems to me another Ferrarri whinging session and another biased decision against Mclaren . I beleive any other driver in his position would would have done exactly the same thing, if they had the skill . Certainly Ferarri's previous German world champion would have done it (mind you he probably would not have given back the place , just kept his boot in, knowing the stewards would not penalize him or the team !!!)

Can't see that the stewards were watching the race but on a playstation game instead.

Sad that the officials continue to ruin the 'sport' that so many used to enjoy

Hamilton was not at fault but Mercedes doing a rain dance was very unfair!

FIA- Ferrari Incident Assist

Geoff and I watched the race yesterday, we were staggered when they made the announcement. We were watching a recording and looked at it several times it all looked fair and square to us, the best end to a race this season.

I agree that when the Mac boys leapt into the air when Kimi crashed did not look good but was amusing.

Yes but did you see what the boys in red did when Hamilton spun earlier? just a shame it was not the Ferrari rain 'specialist' (remember Silverstone ?) who went off

Utterly shocked by the FIA decision, and in total agreement with Sean—best race finish all season, by a country mile. The sheen has been well and truly wiped off by this farce though. Here’s hoping that Maclaren’s appeal gets somewhere.

I reckon they will win the appeal based on their telemetary for Hamilton's car.
A brilliant race spoiled by yet another Ferrari biased decision :(

That result really sucks. Massa nearly wiped out some poor guy in the pits last race & didn't even get a wrist slap. That was Hamiltons race fair & square. Might not be too many competitors next season if you get penalized for passing a Ferrari. Massa wasn't too keen on his team mates driving when they bumped wheels early in the race. Since Kimi then put it in the wall how they can penalise Hamilton. Madness.

are the FIA in ferrari's pocket or what ? hamilton won the race fair and square, just driving the wrong colour car, would the same thing have happened if it had been the other way 'round ? i think not, spoiled a good end to the race !!!!!

We were devastated, watched the race & the fantastic ending then went out, came home last night to find out what had happened.
I think the FIA & Ferrari have over stepped the mark & they'll now face the backlash. Not sure whether people will stop watching but it must have an impact on the figures.

My sister went to school with LH so we are big big fans hence I do wear Lewis tinted glasses. I wanted to throw things at my screen when I saw the announcement.

Regardless of whether he did anything wrong (I dont think he did) Kimi decided to bin his car into a wall so its all acedemic.

Absolutely gutted. Just watched the footage again here:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ovii ... kimi_sport
It seems to be that Lewis has the corner and has not braked too late. He has to jink left to avoid Kimi who was trying to push him off. He yields the place on the pit straight then comes back at Kimi. How the stewards can think that Lewis gained additional momentum from the chicane is beyond me - his revs are low and Kimi has gone passed him. No comment about Kimi weaving in front of Lewis or hitting him at La Source, or about Kimi passing Rosberg under waved yellows or about Kimi going off the track at Pouhon in order to fight Lewis off. Maclaren are punished for the "drivers must use only the track" rule but it seems Ferrari can ignore it.
Very upset about the whole thing! :-(
