944 D90 refurb colour options

Post by moeman79 »

Hi guys. So I'm looking to swap out my turbo twists with a set of original D90s, mainly for ride comfort and handling. The twists make the steering feel very heavy at low speed. I'm also putting new tyres on the D90s and installing Koni adjustable shocks so all together should be a nice improvement.

My question is what do people think about colours for the D90s. Should I stick with a factory silver (incidentally does anyone know the actual colour code), or go for a slightly darker shade of silver or something completely different? I had thought about maybe going with black (or dark grey) with a polished lip. Not sure if they're going to look a bit too garish? My car is Tahoe Blue which is quite unusual so some things that work well on other cars (like the black and polished lip on white and red cars), might not suit Tahoe Blue. Any suggestions?

I have the black and polished rims on my red cab, and it does modernise, however, I think if I ever sell it, I will go back to standard

Original Silver but with the internal curves masked & painted Black. Just a little bit different touch :D
