I'm looking for an original radio for my 1989 944S2, I think its a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 - if anyone has one they want to sell please let me know...

Thanks

Will

I have fitted a Bremen SQR 49 head unit as I had the hand book in the documents with the car, the Previous owner had removed it. I bought mine from German eBay.
I have coupled it with a blaupunkt bea 80 graphic equalizer, which was an option at the time.
Looks cool!
Good luck with the search.

Mark

It was a Panasonic. Radios were fitted by PCGB to nearly all 944s and they fitted National Panasonic, then Panasonic.

Yes. Panasonic in my Feb 1989 registered S2. Removable.

Option codes for S2's indicate several Blaupunkt upgrades were offered though, see here:
http://www.connact.com/~kgross/FAQ/944faq944S2optioncodes.html
It's a global list though so these Blaupunkt options may not have applied to the UK.

I have a Panasonic CQ-F35FNP that I took out of my 1991 S2. I can't verify the standard of the tape deck though - I remember tape players being bad enough new!

The above model was fitted all the way through.
