You'll need a roadworthy car and a driving licence. Normal road tyres will be fine. You will be able hire a helmet on the day, or you can pop into your local motorcycle shop and buy your own beforehand (£40 will do it. Fit is the most important thing).LozS2 wrote:Hi, I'm interested in this but have never been to a track day before and have no idea what it involves. Is it for standard cars or do you need roll cage and spare tyres? Can you provide some more info or post some useful resource links? Also, would it be an option to come as a spectator?
Cheers.
There's a trackday section on tipec.net and pistonheads, but don't read into it too much: at a club event at Blyton the atmosphere is very friendly, there will be plenty of folk to give you either a passenger ride or to guide you around. Maybe read some of the comments on here about last year's event too. Oh, and it is most definitely NOT a race.
