 Post subject: Early 944 dash removal

Before I embark on replacing my dash, can anyone confirm whether it is essential to remove the centre console in order to do so? I know that Clark's garage says you should (step 9 in body-26), but then I know that you can remove the pillar trims without first removing the sun visors and roof trim panels (steps 16-18), so at least some of their steps are not strictly necessary.

I removed the centre console when I replaced mine.

Yes the centre console needs to be removed or else you wont get the dash off the centre mounting bolt.
