for an 87 turbo the number has been superseded a few times

M44.50/51

Original Part number was 951 106 021 01 up to -86 then 951 106 021 08 from 87- this has changed to 951 106 021 10 for both years.

does that help, oh and the OPC price is £431 inc VAT

another option, if it has a metal impellor and its not too rusty, you can send it to Paul at EP Services and have it rebuilt with a full warranty for about £90..

Thanks! That's really useful to know.

Would you happen to know if there is any material difference or is the superceded part (951 106 021 10) therefore OK for both '86 and '87 cars?

I'm pretty sure my car is the M44.51. Do you have access to look mine up by registration number? E*** APU. It's a K26/6, ABS car.

...really useful to know the OPC price. I could do without that extra "tax" if these Circoli parts are as good as people seem to think.

sorry no I cant look up the reg number, I could last year but Porsche have cut off access to all the pricing updates and vin lookups, DAM unfriendly if you ask me.

I cant tell you if there is any material difference but it does not matter which year you pick in the PET as you follow the parts updates they both end up at the 021 10 number.

Thanks, the part number and advice it's a great help!

I'll see what http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/carpartssaver say about a Circoli pump based on 951 106 021 10

Cheers 8)

from what I remember the early ones were 68mm impellors and later for the S2 78mm other than that they are the same physically, except for the water take off

A couple of threads on the net don't recommend that particular brand and a mechanic friend's garage wont fit them as they have had a lot of issues of them leaking after a few months, buy cheap buy twice (in some cases) maybe worth taking a chance on but personally I'd rather pay the money for a Geba or Laso and forget about it....

Apparently the 3.0 pump fits the 2.5 block with some minor grinding of the block.

They have a Geba for a turbo

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 29&alt=web

£199 is still significantly cheaper than OPC, but are they good enough or indeed the OEM?

been doing a little research on the Brand Circoli, there is no such manufacture in Italy or any other EU country

its just a trade mark Owned by Euro Carparts.

so they can buy anything unbranded and stick the Circoli name on it, that's why my Circoli water pump has URO stamped on it, possibly bought as a reject shoved in another box and flogged off under the Circoli name.

All sounds a bit dodgy to me

So Circoli are just Euro Car Parts, not an actually manufacturer? Interesting! Suddenly it doesn't look such a good idea.

Just for completeness, here is another thread about Circoli water pumps

bit more if you ever wondered who's who

http://trademark.markify.com/trademark- ... ted/114230

from more looking about it would seem that Geba and Laso are also affiliated

Who / what brand do the OEM parts (that the OPC would supply) have printed on them?
