Thak you to all the people that made it to Silverstone over the weekend.
Friday saw enough rain to see Noah get his carpentry set out again.
Myself and Sean manned the tent and occasionally popped out to stretch the legs and watch a little of the qualifying, kalthough much of it was behind a safety car.
In the evening myself and my other half Lindsay stopped to watch the bands playing but gave up after The ZZ Tops and swam back to the car.
We headed off to Tescos to buy some cheap dry clothes and trainers.
Saturday, couldn't have been any different. Woke up to a strange orange glow in the sky above our tent (very waterproof one at that).
Arrived at Silverstone at 7:30 to start organising the cars coming in. We were hoping to have a nice angled display of cars but one left overnight straight on meant a slight change of plan.
I think we had almost all of our clubs 40 cars turn up and we joined seamlessly with the 8 cars from the 924 Owners club, our location meant that ours were the first and last cars anyone saw during the day.
It was really good to meet some of the members i'd not really spoken too before and I must say a big thanks to the lads and lasses that made the trip down from North of the Border.
Also great to meet the many people that came in and made enquiries about the club. We hope you manage to pop along to your local area meeting and say hello soon.
We spent the afternoon looking at other cars, watching some racing and eating more food. Then came the evening and the Mighty Status Quo.
A great gig to end a great day out.
Then came Sunday and the weather was back to Friday's standard but with added strong winds.
by 2pm, we'd alll had enough and packed up.
Overall, I still enjoyed the weekend away but i'm not sure i'll get Lindsay to come to The Silverstone Classic next year
