Hello all.

I'm in the process of growing my inventory of reproduction decals for the 924/944/928/968 series cars and I'm looking for some help!

I basically reproduce as near to perfect replicas of no longer available decals for those of you looking to replace long lost or tired examples. This all started with my own Porsche ownership many years ago, and during the last year has begun to take off, as there seems to be growing interest in this.

I'm not unique in doing this, but I do go the extra mile in an attempt to ensure perfection wherever I can. Some of you may already have even used my services. Impact Decals. I thermally print to vinyl, using spot colour, not inkjet printing, to produce as near to the original screen printed examples as I can.

I am looking for help in referencing original decals.... despite having owned several 911's 944's 928's and even an early 924, they were all before this began and I missed my opportunity!
I have a fairly large inventory for the 911/914 series, referenced over years, but am keen to grow the water cooled side of things.

In an ideal world I would like to obtain carefully removed examples for reproducing (hairdryer or low heat gun works best), but failing that some high resolution photos and measurements would be a close second. In gratitude for anyone willing to assist, I will supply you with a replacement replica(s) (and your returned undamaged original). I appreciate on face value you may be unwilling to remove an original example, all I can say is that the replicas are extremely good - even if I do say so myself... they have to be, as most of what I am doing at the moment is destined for 2.7 Rs's, 906, 904, 356 etc etc and i'm sure you know what those cars are worth these days!

Sadly I wont be able to offer free replicas to everyone who necessarily offers, as i'm sure to encounter duplicates..(well hopefully). it's a bit of a first come first served offer really, and preference will have to go to those willing to supply the best information.... or a surviving example.

Sorry but not interested in previous replicas.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help, I'm very grateful, it will be worth your while.

Please PM me for details - BEFORE you rip off any decals!

Regards Rob

And no sooner do I post than I notice the title typo.
Apologies for that. Topic title clearly should be 'Decals'

Hi

I am looking for an unleaded fuel only decal that sits inside the rear hatch glass above the filler cap. The one still fitted looks crispy due to sun exposure. Could you help with this?

I'm assuming Jas99 is the self same ebay seller that has the 'unleaded fuel only' stickers on eBay now for a great price of £2.50

Item number: 231603096324

I was really tempted to swap mine as like all others through age and Sun it has gone scruffy looking, but I have held back because of originality.

Jim, that's very kind, thank you!

Yes some of you may have noticed me on ebay, the unleaded decal being just one of quite a few offerings.
This all came about for that very reason - I was trying to replace simple decals but becoming extremely frustrated at the high costs of those that were available still. And there was no logic in some of the pricing, how you can justify £22 plus vat for the unleaded window decal is case in point. I did an awful lot of research and testing before finally deciding what machines to buy - making a very considerable investment I might add. I am a designer by trade, so the computer and software side of thing already existed. Hence I am now able to thermally print to vinyl and that includes laying down true metallics (silver, gold etc) Chrome finishes (mirror) and white. Inkjet printers simply don't compare.

I have been quite busy in the aircooled markets for a while but have always been very keen to get into the water cooled, as I have been an enthusiastic owner of these car myself! As hopefully these pics will illustrate!

Sadly this was before I started the decals - otherwise they would all be much better!

Thanks G
Well as you can see the engine bay became quite a project of mine!
The car was in good condition when acquired, but nothing like you see there.
That was the result of much tinkering several winters ago - before I sadly sold her. Wish I hadn't now.
Hopefully you can see the level of detail I try to go to....... the same can be said for my decals.

Thanks to those who have emailed me. We now have several in the pipeline.
I will let you see the results in due course (will be a few days!)
Regards Rob

+1

I like to think that mine's good, but that one's another level completely.

The pics and the car look amazing.

Would be good if you could share pics of your decals.

Cheers
Ian

I'm trying to figure out the best way to reinvigorate the numbers and letters on my auto gear selector in the car. The white markings are now very faint.

I wondered if a decal would be the best option? What do people think?

Any other suggestions to bring the markings back to their former glory?
