Can anyone tell me what the spec is for the thread on the speedo head onto which the cable is fixed ? I don't think it's the common Nemag 11.8.

Even better would be if someone had a scrap cable - I only want about 125mm, inner and outer, complete with the fitting for the head end. I know new cables are available from OPC at about £15, but it would be a shame to have to butcher one.

Will have a scrapper I can send you in a week or so.

Mine has (had) an in line Brantz sensor on it but snapped at the dash end. Am now doing it properly and sending the whole thing away to a specialist to have done properly .

If you want the knackered one once it's out then let me know.

What sort of cost to make a cable with a Brantz take-off included please Ben?

Will let you know when I know! It's (an OEM cable plus the Brantz sensor) been sent off to the cable guy already, will try and find out tomorrow as I'm taking the 944 over to the workshop for a 2 week blitzing. Have decided to get it out hillclimbing in July, should be fun.

We're using the Brantz speedo sensor (for reasons already posted here) sitting about 6 inches back from where it connects to the rear of the instruments.
