Yeah it's pretty quick. I can only imagine what it must be like launching a turbo, or it's even more power brother the turbo S! I was sitting behind a 991 turbo S (bright orange which wasn't to my taste) the other night that car is so good looking, but it's also about the size of a tank.Paul Mabley wrote:Very nice, my 997.2 S was fast enough, that must be bloody rapid.

Re: What's Yours?
I recently acquired a nice 996 C4 with the GT3 / Aero kit on it.
Respect to the previous owner, it's had a LOT of work carried out (engine rebuild, clutch, rads, brakes...), along with the addition of some nice upgrades (coilovers, short shift, stainless exhaust, etc).
For now, all I've done it chuck a set of wheels on it and have some paintwork sorted out (stone chips and scratches). I'm carrying out a few minor cosmetic changes to it and then I'm just going to enjoy it.
Coming from a 944S2, then a 968 onto this 996... I have to say I'm a little bit in love with it. It's a completely different/better car for less money than I sold my 968 for! Unbelievable.

I don't meant to alarm you, but the roof is missing
... in all honesty I think both you guys cars are real lookers. Image only recently come round to the 996. I think the c4 in particular is a serious looker.

Re: What's Yours?
Thank you.
I'm pretty chuffed with it. When I get the steering wheel back from the trimmers, I'll get it out and take some more photos.

Re: What's Yours?
Giles,
that does look rather fantastic.
In fact for just a few minutes I thought about selling the 944 (which has now clocked 150k by the way).
By the way, I'm thinking of getting a slightly smaller steering wheel - what type was that on your/my 944 when I test drove it?

A local guy called Phil Hewson. His quality of work is very good.
He only did front and rear bumpers, along with the O/S mirror cap though...
