Hi, I used some clear plastic tubing that I fitted to the pipe prior to bending, it looks good and works well:

On a couple of the front lines I used adhesive lined heatshrink tubing, either a single or in some cases a double wrap.

Hope that helps..

Just had my local indie squirt some 'gloop' into my gearbox this morning, to quieten down my whine in the rear, seems to have sorted the high pitched noise.

The speakers worked but buzzed like a 'bee' when the volume was turned up - most of the rubber surround is missing !

Bit the bullet and decided to do something about them.
Put new Alpine's in the front (good fit), and Rockford fosgate's in the rear (bad fit).
Strangely (the left front wires at the speaker (black +) when tested from the radio loom are for the opposite side. (It is for the right speaker !) and visa versa for the right front speaker.

Spent couple of hours putting a Kenwood Active Sub under the drivers seat !
This however won't fit properly if the seat has electric motors ! (very restricted movement).

Spent the next couple of hours taking it out again and putting it in the boot under the cover - where it now lives happily !

Went out for a spin to see what it sounds like -

TURNED IT OFF SO I COULD LISTEN TO THE ENGINE INSTEAD !

£200 and half a day later - I actually prefer the noises the car makes. :?

Ordered my new passenger door handle from Wilmslow OPC. It will arrive this Friday and was a modest £58.20 :)

Who needs to pay £212 to Steve Strange for a pair of second hand ones

Removed the hockey sticks to reattach the fixings and replace the drivers side seal, I also removed the lower trim under the bridge spoiler to repair it as it had been broken and poorly repaired in the past.

Since fitting the clear rear indicators the have always shown up the poor quality of the way the reverse lights have been bonded in by Porsche, I have had a damaged pair of lights knocking around for some time so I cut out the reverse lenses with view to fitting them in the same manner as the indicators.

They are now in the dishwasher along with the top section of my air box as it was looking rather grubby.

Have done the same last week.... would be interested to know your strategy for refixing the Hockey Sticks...
From reading other threads, my plan is Tiger Seal.....http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181730392362

:) Not sure if the radio works anymore in my car, haven't turned it on for 2 or 3 years.

A few days after my headlight arrived from Germany I picked the car up with said headlight in place and aligned and a new MoT with no advisories.

Image

Also put my new handle on - needs painting but I'll do that as part of the full respray later this year.

Image

Downside is the MoT garage have had a bit of an accident, or rather a customer has... Leaving me with some rear quarter battle scars.

Image

They're going to sort it for me but what a PITFA :(

Still, at least it's before the full respray... Cloud linings and all that...

dropped off with edwards motorsport in west drayton to have a stainless fitted. They have done some down pipes for me in the past and had good experience, plus he had just done a full system on a 944 track car (bonus i hope). have asked for tail pipe similar to that of Wortecs I have seen on Chas car to be fitted.... See what she comes out like (fingers crossed)

Busy day with the rear hatch, spoiler etc.

Drilled out the stubborn Phillips rusted into the spoiler.

Image

Old bolts have taken their toll on the structure of the spoiler.

Image

Image

Fashioned some new large size washers. Ground down the sides to fit in the hole...

Image

Looking good....

Have also thoroughly washed and cleaned the old rubbers which have come up a treat.

Just need to get the hockey sticks back on but should really get the spoiler painted first... Question is; do I keep it red or go with black?
