I've missed at least three track days organised here and on PCGB over the last three years due to my car coming out of Winter engine and/or body work, and with no confidence the car will be ready for the March/April dates. Once my car has been ready to go they have become fully booked an therefore missed them. Location hasn't helped either when they have been either Blyton, Lichfield or Bedford so a good 3 hours+ each way.

With the engine again in two halves, I can't see myself booking until at least end March/early April

By my reckoning the North West region have 9 cars and 11 drivers booked on now. 924 to 928 via 944, 911, 993, 996 and 997. I don't think anyone is bringing a 964 from our region. So far...

Several North West types are staying at Scunthorpe Premier Inn. Your choice to muck in with us or avoid at all costs...

I have now booked a room at Scunthorpe Premier Inn. Hope the "North West types" keep the noise down!!

We're quiet, down-home types. You won't even notice us. Apart from Molly, maybe...

At this point in the proceedings I will just mention that the North West region has had 'Team' stickers made up especially for the event. And the comedic value.

With less than one month to go I'm sorry to report we have not reached the numbers for an exclusive day :(

I would still like to keep this event as Tipec and invited guests so if anyone has friends that would like to come along in non-Porsche cars please put them in touch with me. As long as they are sensible and known to a club member we will accommodate booking

Any members still undecided need to book now or else miss out on this event.

I would love us to have a similar event each year and was looking at Mallory for 2016 as it's a more central venue for everyone but unless we get somewhere near the numbers this time I will not try this again.

There is nothing to fear on a track day like this - there is no timing - no aggressive driving - marshalling is professional - and safety well observed by all. If you treat it like a sunday morning blast you will have a lot of fun and enjoy the day. You will also find out a great deal about your car.

Last chance now to book for this event and to secure similar events in future.

with over a thousand TIPEC members, it's difficult to explain this apathy towards track days. We own performance sports cars that cannot be exercised fully and legally on the public highways. This event is a rare opportunity to safely explore the limits of our vehicles. Paul, I for one, will be very sad if this is scrapped from the national club's event calendar :(
