I thought the ambulance article was quite amusing, albeit trivializing a serious issue.
As for the 944 it was a shame the turbo was knackered on it. A healthy one would have thrashed the others on the drag race and shown how good they are.
Given the 944 in question was brown with a burgundy interior with a knackered turbo its days were probably numbered.
Anyone got the number for top gear so I can scavenge for parts off it

The turbo was knackered it seems but going from the in dash view it did seem to be boosting fine.
Another thing to remember is that it was a 220 Turbo against a 210BHP Cosworth Scorpio, and that the gearing on 951s was always on the tall side, something which a few members on here have criticised (I believe DarrylH is using an S2 'box in his for this very reason). If I did not slip the rear wheels on mine (which I rarely did) it really did take some time to build up the momemtum as it was lagging that much. Beyond 3.5k it did then blow a few things into the weeds.
I won't put a video up (as it is embarresing) but whilst I was trying to not destroy the clutch on my Porker at Shelsley Walsh my starts were pretty depressing. Of course if I launched at 4k it would have been a different matter

It's a shame it went. It looked like quite a nice colour combination (at least to me) and a rare one at that.
