After my last post I have finally got round to trying to jump start the 944. Didn't seem to work. When I started trying the immobiliser seemed to be beeping as normal. Now it's not beeping at all and I'm not even firing the starter motor at all.

I have taken the battery out to get it tested and then charge it up. I'm just a bit worried I have friend something as the immobiliser doesn't seem to beep any more.

Bummer, I need to get her out the garage to start prepping for MOT in March. Needs ARB bushes, horn and poss brake lines doing so didn't want to leave last minute.

How did you test the battery?

Do the lights on the instrument pannel dim as you try to start it?

What immobiliser does it have? the original Hamilton and Palmer Porsche one with a slot you put a dongle into?

Not sure on the immobiliser. You do put a dongle into it. How do I work out what sort it is? The lights were lighting up but nothing now. No beeping from the immobiliser either.

I haven't tested the battery yet. Going to do that tomorrow as not got a tester. Battery is flat though as been sat in garage since October.

Going to test battery - charge battery - try again - fingers crossed as all was good when she was put away.

probably the battery then.

If that does not cure it, take a picture of the immobiliser key fob/dongle and post it up here
