Hi guys,

Thought I'd pop in and say hello. I am an English guy who works in Az and has just bought a rather nice solid black 1990 944SE. It's a one owner - for the last 24 years - car and absolutely standard. Just what I wanted. I paid a pretty penny for it too!

I wonder if anyone knows of it here? Reg H1 BPE, I would be interested in knowing more if they do.

It will spend most of its time in my garage at home whilst I am away. Nice and dry and warm!

Have been into Fiat Coupe 20VT's for the last 5 years, Recently sold a very rare one (and my last of many) and decided to look at Porsches for my next addiction :) Always wanted a 944 Turbo and here we are :)

Thanks, hopefully catch up with you guys at some point.

Hi. Congratulations on your purchase.

Your car was sold on Pistonheads around November time and bought by a dealer in Scotland (who presumably you bought it from). I was nearly interested in it first time around but it had been unused for a little while though it was much cheaper at circa £5800 at the time.

They are great cars and your car had a nice low mileage and one owner history. Enjoy.

Glad I didn't pay full asking price then! Whatever the cost. I am happy with the car and the history, don't mind the sitting around part, that makes sense for the mileage. Many brand new cars sit around in Docks for years also I hear :)

For the condition, the story behind their development and the rarity of these Turbo SE models I am one happy guy. Everyone wanted a Porsche Turbo of some sort at some point in their life right?

Thanks for the info

Phil

Hi Phil, I almost bought this but was to slow. I think I still have the original owners contact details and the pics it was advertised with at £5800.

I can dig them out if you want.

Very nice car op.

I was in contact with the owner, Phil, with a view to buy the car back in May. As it was then later advertised on PH, we had agreed a price of 5800 to include the private plate - but in the end I bought a different one a bit closer to home. Phil's car hadn't moved for a few years and the recent MOT had a few advisories, so the transport costs and possible remedial costs out it slightly out of my budget. I kicked myself as I knew it had potential to be a 10k car, let alone 17k!!

I remember Shark selling the car as having full history, but was that the case in the end? As when I was in contact with Phil he had lost a lot of the paperwork, and just had a few invoices and stamps in the book up to around 1998.

Really nice looking Turbo though, Phil sounded like a nice chap, glad it has found a good home!

There is a lot of paperwork with the car. I will be in contact with all the garages for the exact breakdown of work carried out. Lots of work has been done to the car after the sale by the last owner also. All belts, all stone chips done, plus more. She now stands very pretty and proud :)

I'll update about the car when I return to the UK in March April. Until then she'll be in the garage on a trickle-charger with my brother taking her for a spin every now and again.....Jesus! He'd better be careful :)

I see - perhaps Phil found some more then, that's good.

I did a little digging when I was interested and had a helpful email from an opc - I will forward it on to you.
