this is why this club is so good !!! offers of help and support straight off the bat, well done folks

#my 944 is turning into a bit of a nightmare
first i found oil in the water so off came the head, gasket ok but with all the pits on it i thought it better to have a new head £100 plus £70 for a skim and crack test.
then got an oil cooler cause mine had more oil in it than the middle east, new seal kit £35.
checked the brakes discs and pads, pads new rear discs new but the others past there best so got some new ones £32.
tried to take the pins out to put new pads and discs on................rusted solid
so looks like new calipers.
can some one please tell me what to expect next but do it gently.
moan over Dave
p.s. and i aint even started to think about the bit of bodywork yet

Location: Halifax It's all part of lifes rich tapestry. If you paid less than 4K for your '44 then you have to expect a few teething problems! Doesn't sound too bad to me. (Have a spare pair of rear calipers refurbed if yours are leaking.)

its all about sticking together and mucking in where possible. i have always wanted to run a club where if a member or owner needs a part or help then maybe another owner nearby that has the spare or some time to go lend a hand. thats what gto northwest is based on. my expertise doesn't stop at mitsubishi cars. a car is a car and if i can i will surely go lend a hand maybe supply a part or refurb one where possible.

and i see my dream or ideal vision of ownership and club members doing exactly that here in TiPEC :D

Yup that's what it's all about as a club.

Paul Greer polished my 944 last Saturday to within inches of it's life! Including wet vacuming the interior & cleaning every inch of glass. It looked the dogs at Gaydon because of it :D I can genuinely say it's NEVER been that clean :o Many thanks Paul.

Today Paul bought his 944 around to mine & we did oil & filter change on both, the sludge that came out of mine looked like something from the Torey Cannon (for those that are that old  ) I buy oil in bulk so Paul benefitted. We had a quick scout around both cars for problems inculding Dinitrolling a couple of grotty bits on the jacking points of Pauls.

Nah what he means is Stevie Wonder did the paint match when they repainted the sills. That's the only excuse for the completely different shade of white they are!
Cheers Dave but I'll repaint it myself when I've sorted out the panel fit.
