Hi,

I've been lurking around here since buying my 924 last September so thought it was really time to join! I've always had in interest in car and the urge to buy a second car to tinker with and keep in a respectable state as I have abit of an OCD issue when it comes to keeping my cars clean.

Having some spare money last year I looked around at options and even though I've had a number of VW GTI's I fancied something different as a second car and by pure chance started looking at 924's. I wanted something that was easy to work on and wouldnt cost so much to run that couldnt afford to use it - just finding that balance and a 924 seemed to tick all the boxes.

4 weeks later I had YEX 943X and although mechanically fine (came with MOT and tax) the body work was rough so 6 weeks of working on the paintwork and it looks like this complete with my 9 year old boy who loves it. I've only put about 600 miles on it so far but love driving it and still working through 32 years worth of issues but nothing to difficult.

Just waiting for the weather to improve so I can use it more and look forward to hanging around here more!

Hi

Thanks for the complements, the cars getting there and has had more done to it since the photo was taken in the form of getting it to an acceptable standard (not modifying it). I live in Witney and have seen a few other 924's around including one with Martini decals and a white 924s around town a few times now.

So happy to see this post! THIS IS MY OLD CAR!!!!

I owned her from November 2008 to January 2010 and sold her on to someone who I believe worked for Dick Lovett Porsche as a technician. I needed something more reliable at the time. She was my pride and joy and I have been looking out for her some time. When I owned her she had a cold start issue, which we could never resolve despite changing various thermostats etc and as you can see in the picture she had (quite tired old) decals down the side. I have lots of old pictures if you are interested.

Please, if you ever look to sell her come to me first!

Regards
Jonathan Faulkner

Tried to create a reply before but I think it has failed...

So happy to see this! This is my old car!!!!! I have been searching for her for years! I owned her from November 2008 till January 2010 and she was my pride and joy - always kept immaculate and garaged. Was very sad to get rid of her but needed something more reliable.

At the time she has an unsolvable cold start issue (despite several Porsche technicians taking a look) and was eventually sold to a technician. She also had some (rather tired old) Porsche decals down the side.

Please please if you ever look to sell her I would love to own her again so come to me first!

Many thanks
Jonathan Faulkner
