Why i like small car clubs.

I received a letter today from Sean about renewal of my membership. The letter included a short handwritten note regarding my progress (or lack of)...no sniggering Jason or Paul and a reminder of how long i have been working on my 928 restoration This shows me that the chairman actually knows who i am ( god help him) and i'm not just a number as is the case with other car clubs who's membership i am not renewing this year. This permeates down the organisation, as i am not the most regular attendee at Thames Valley but when i do turn up i am always welcomed.(lets see if Jason tells me where the new meeting place is ).

So thank you to all who do what is required to keep the club running and the cheques in the post! i'll actually do it online...but it does'nt sound so good.

Even Martin Dunks would have had it finished by now.
