So in simple terms, for the technically inept like me, what is actually required to fit a 968 engine in to a 924S.

Does the engine fit the engine mounts, what is required to mate the 5 speed gearbox etc etc?

ECU and full engine loom wired in correctly, sensors (inc maf), 944 S2 Bell housing, 944 S2 flywheel. 944 S2 exhaust manifold, 944S2 clutch
Conversion of wiring, hoses, air filter/induction

Engine mounts are compatible, best use new though

Thanks for that info; why the S2 exhaust manifold, I'm slightly surprised by that.

Cheers

Work on Red is progressing nicely

The engine is in but there are a few niggles being ironed out.
some of the wiring on this year seems to be different to others and isn't documented,
They thought that it was maybe my car had been messed with but as they had my other 1987 S with them at the same time they confirmed they are both the same.

Anyway a couple of pics

This car is definitely going to be a Wolf in Sheep's clothing  . It's all looking very nice - should be brilliant when finished. I don't think my bank balance could take the strain of this type of update work, so 'hats off' to you...

The width of the Carrera GT body is obviously much greater, as you've already got the brakes/suspension in I'm guessing that track is achieved with greater dished wheels and/or spacers?

If I came home with a bill with as many pages as for White's work I'd be crusified, if I was doing Red at the same time I would have to start living in the office :D

Going to need a remap to keep Red off my tailpipes

Look forward to seeing the finished car in the flesh once reincarnated as the CGT
Nice looking exhaust Jason
I take its stainless ?

I've got some wheel spacers that I had intended putting on my CS
They are bolt on 17mm (I think). No longer required let me know if you are interested

Dave
