I am after a old 944 convertible cat, can leak as i just need it as a pattern to make my own de-cat pipe.

I fear I may have made the same mis-assumption as you but have already purchased a very nice but potentially unsuitable decat pipe for my Cab ... :?

Hope you find one, I suspect I might wander down to the exhaust fabrication place and get them to sling a length of pipe in there lol...

Have you tried fitting it loosely to see how it fowls the floor pan, and if it could be simply modified?

Not yet - I bought it on my own assumption that it wasn't going to be significantly different ... Still, I guess this might be the opportunity I've been looking for to teach myself TIG welding - every cloud etc!
