Decided I should get on and replace the fuel filter on the 924 which went fine (the muck thy came out the old one made it clear it was over due). Started the car after and all was fine but 30 seconds or so later the pump started to rumble. Nothing else has changed and the pump has always been quite in the 12 months I've owned it so a bit confused.

I am wondering if the clean filter is passing more fuel, putting pressure on the pump that might be struggling if the in tank filter is blocked with 32 years of rust etc

Any ideas before I try to empty half a tank of fuel??
