My friend bought the car that was being slowly broken up by Alisdair (Kulerzak) in Scotland earlier this year. Since getting it the car has had 2 new genuine Porsche Sills fitted with the continuation panel into the rear arches also handmade. There were a couple of small repairs to the A pillars and a small repair to the n/s rear arch where it has rubbed up against something in storage.

All it needs now is the excellent s/hand passenger side wing that we got from Steve Simkin fitted and the painful experience of buying a genuine Porsche drivers side wing to also be fitted. The rest of the car was surprisingly solid considering it had sat outside being neglected for a period of time.

Luckily Steve who owns the car is an excellent spray painter by trade so I am expecting the car to look excellent once completed.

I will give more updates as things progress, but here are a few shots taken today in the workshop.

Is this the Turbo S shell that sold on eBay for a silly amount of money?

No, it was advertised on TIPEC last year and bought early this year

Looking good so far - and nice colour, a dark grey looks nice on a 944 imo.

Me personally, I am very fond of the Silver Rose paint scheme, and would have kept it, but we can't all be the same!!

Look forward to seeing some more pics!! Will be a similar sight when my Turbo gets painted later this year :)

These pictures are not in any particular order, but will show some of the work carried out fitting the Genuine Porsche sills, repairing the back of the sills where it joins the rear arches with handmade panels as Porsche don't do them and repairing the A Pillars after water ingress has eaten away at the pillar behind the glass.

Nice work :) . As it's an S shell I'd have painted it silver or maybe Nile. If the price of these ever gets silly maybe he'll be repainting it the original colour.

Some great workmanship there and good to see one being saved: a sign they're becoming viable to saved (although at substantial cost I imagine!) instead of being scrapped :)
