yes i have no doubt they know there stuff but who ever was on the end of the phone was not helpful and pretty much didn't want to know as soon as i said i had collected my own bits i have tuned a few different cars with garages and never had a response like because you have your own bits

i found them pretty rude to be honest and i only phone up for a chat to see prices and what there recommendations where and im happy to take peoples advice but there was none of that its was just we dont like fitting other peoples parts and that was the end of the conversation

It could have been anyone on either end of the phone, you would have been better off popping down there for a chat maybe. Turbo's and MAF's are a bit of a minefield so perhaps you've put the cart before the horse buying them and then asking for advice. What exactly have you bought ?

hi

yes phoned jmg and the response i got was less than welcoming so they will not be get any of my money. as if you already have you own bits they are not interested they just clearly want to sell you there bits

many thanks

Having been on the receiving end of Jon's non fitment of customer supplied parts I do get his argument. He has had issues whereby the part has failed or not performed to customer expectation and Jon has been challenged to rectify at his cost or received negative feedback on forums. For this I do sympathise with him. He fitted some of my parts but not others. There have been changes and ill health at his end and I think these have impacted on day to day customer service. Not unknown here as he has posted a thread to admit to this. He is also on the whole more than busy with existing customers so they may not have wanted the new business. In this case its fairer on both parties to be up front and decline rather than leave a negative feeling as done so here. Lots of other options out there in this case

That's a good kit though if it doesn't have the MAP sensor I'd be looking to upgrade it.

When I read your description of the car you were buying I thought it would be this one...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1989-G-Porsch ... 35dbab0577

but it's reappeared on Ebay again so I guess not. Can't be too many 62k Turbo's out there!

Wasn't it up for around £6k in Ireland recently. It looks a bit like the one Lee Noble of Noble cars supposedly owned years ago.

Yes, sold for £7500 on eBay from Belfast on 3rd August (item 331272333715) and reappeared 10 days later (again on eBay) via a trader at £10k. Was sold within a couple of days on Pistonheads but reappeared in the last day or two again.
