Right I've just ordered a set of the new type of mounts Dibed now have listed on eBay, which are the 'flat' type which would normally raise the ride hight. But as I want fit stiffer (lowering) springs and retain stock ride hight they suit my needs better than the versions shown in this thread.
They're very similar to the Gaz mounts but are cheaper at circa £100 a set, so a good £40 cheaper than buying OE rubber mounts!
I'll be sure to report back. I've also taken a punt on a set of Design911 'DesignTek' lowering springs which I'm hoping are stiffer than my stock M474 springs which are soft as sh1t! Really I wanted a set of 200lb welt's but nowhere seems to stock them in the UK...
Please report back on this. The under turret mounts tend to raise the ride height by some way. Even using lowered springs doesn't allow a big enough drop to compensate and still lift the car above a desired ride height. I saw the result on a US 924 and the guy had to bin the top mounts as he couldn't afford to buy coil overs
I went for my style even though I had coil overs to maximise the shock travel with lowered ride height. However, despite getting my desired ride height via the coil overs, Chris at Centre Gravity still raised my front end to increase my shock travel further.
