hi all,

managed to get the parking brake fixed,it was the spring as suggested by the venerable tipec members :bounce:

great to have her back on the road, had the tracking checked and the toe in adjusted...really enjoying the drive now :D

however, two more niggles have surfaced :(

-height adjustment on my 2 way electric seats has failed on the drivers side, did come back to life for a minute then died again. the other adjustment on that seat still works fine.

-the 'brake pad' warning light has been showing on and off since the brakes were put back together, all the pads still seem to have plenty on?

any idea's on these two?

thanks,

rick.

Venerable cheek!

Seat issues are normally switches or dodgy connector, if the motor is running & nowt happens then the drive has come apart.

Brake pad warnings are a pain, the loop should be continuous & opens the loop when the pads are worn. You have to recheck & clean each connector. Preferably with a meter to ensure the sensor is complete. If it's intermittant then I suspect a bad connector near the wheel.

v8, you are a ledgend!

Good to hear the brake warning isn't much of a problem, I'l have a look at the connections next weekend.

on the seat: when the button is pressed there is no sound at all, it did come back to life and work fine for 5 mins on saturday, then gave up again which makes me think it's a loose connection somewhere. which bits should i be looking at? how will i know if it is the switch or the connector?

thanks,

rick.
