 Post subject: S2 camshaft cover,sealant needed on corners?

As per title,do i need to put a bit of sealant in the corners? The gasket is new

FWIW ... I smeared Hylomar generously over the whole gasket, not just the corners... I figured it couldn't hurt!

just in the corners is all you need under the gasket a little black RTV or clear is good, no need to plaster the lot

Clean the head contact area and the groove the seal fits in

Use no sealer and tighten in sequence from the middle out and I got no probs or oil leaks

I used the same method as Dave above, but I do seem to remember that Porsche recommend adding RTV to the corners.
