Hi Paul,

Specialised Paintworks (behind Porsche Reading) know a bit about welding these bumpers. Maybe worth popping in and speaking with Karl.

All the best,

I think a bumper sticker may hide the damage.

Got the parts from OPC Reading yesterday.

Fitted the aluminium auxiliary frame at the front of the car that everything bolts onto (rad, intercoolers, air intakes and loads of trim pieces) following a lengthy dismantling process only to discover that all the bolt holes needed threads tapping in them!

After 'some' swearing it was removed again and 12 holes tapped ready to receive the bolts and it was re-fitted.

Everything fitted together fine after that but I need a couple of extra trim pieces that I discovered were broken after dismantling.

Bill will be nigh on £400 by the time I'm done obviously not including labour!

Car back together now, very pleased.

Specialised said bumper was a write off but at the best part of £1k painted on top of the £400 already spent and the £1200 on the wheels & tyres and service just done I decided to repair in interim and wait for something like a turbo one to come up used at a later date.

I glued with epoxy and clamped overnight then fiberglassed behind.

Got to fill the crack and airbrush them but repair is good its not that noticeable as it is.
