I have a similar set of rears awaiting replacement on mine too, hopefully I'll get round to it this weekend...
I've had a very similar experience to yourself: the previous owner of my T had a full belts service and oil service by Leicester OPC and just three months and 3k later I find the following: the airbox was full of crap, a few bolts around the belts were loose/missing, the balance shaft belt was loose, there's a slight coolant leak from the thermo housing and the power steering pump was pissing fluid everywhere as the seals had gone (£20 seal kit and half hour tops to rebuild).
Needless to say I wasn't too impressed and have advised the previous owner to avoid them in future if he ever has a Porsche again! Dealers are too used to replacing modular parts these days so task them with some proper spanner waggling and they struggle it seems.
Having worked in main dealers for 15 years the main problem for the paying customer was "time saved bonus"
Technicians are given a "book" time for a service or repair - the customer is charged the "book" time at the current labour rate
So a 2 hr service becomes 2 hrs at labour rate charge to customer
The technician is given 2 hours to complete the task
If said technician completes the task in 1 hour he gets paid an extra 1 hour "time saved bonus" and start his next job.
In effect the Dealer and the technician gets paid twice for the same hour "saved" by the technician as the technician can now be doing another customers car.
Time Save Bonus is a sure fire recipe for corner cutting and missed items such as those suffered by the previous owner of my car - usually only the "bare bones" minimum is carried out and not a penny or minute more !
