as in the title really. Its an 89 model..
Thinking of getting a 2.7 944 but wondered what parts are the same as the 2.5. Firstly I was looking at the rear part of exhaust /silencer. Most parts for the 2.7 are the same as 2.5 I think but the ones on ebay say "not compatible" yet there are no lisings for the 2.7 exhaust. Not that the bay of fleas is the only shop I know :)

The 2.7 exhaust has more in common with the 3.0l, unfortunately.

Probably more accurate to say that its broadly the same as the 16v cars exhausts, than the 3.0l car alone.

From memory the part numbers change halfway through the year (from a 2.5l S exhaust to a 3.0l S2 exhaust), but theyre both the same shape and aftermarket suppliers only list the one part.

Beware of automatic 944 2.7's

They need another variation again, this will fit all the other 2.7's and the 3.0, but the usual 2.7 ones will not fit the auto, it has a narrower silencer, the automatics are not that well documented by the Porsche parts database or by the manuals, which really complicate things.
