AFM to airbox gasket

Does anyone know of anyone who supplies these? Item 9

I couldn't find anyone so I got my local gasket cutter to do one as the one I removed was so old it felt like plastic.

So they're £4.80 plus postage. But the price does reduce with a bulk order, if you want one shout up. As with the strut top mounts im not trying to make money just want to help out fellow owners as I discover discount ways to keep these old girls tip top.

My induction kits for the luxes, s2's and Turbo's come with a new rubber gasket, but I can't sell the gasket on their own as it is designed as part of the adapter in the kit, so this is a really good solution for anyone else wanting to replace theirs, well done!

Should they be rubber? my old one had the distinctive feel on a fiber gasket soaked in petrol for 20 years.

Originally they were fibre gaskets, and for a standard airbox that is probably what I would say is the best thing for them to be made of.

The ones in my induction kits are rubber as the adapters for the cone filters are metal and do not distort when tightened down, unlike the airboxes, so it needed to be a bit thicker and rubber as a precaution to take up some squish to mate with a seal to the air filter adapters.. So don't panic, yours will be absolutely fine and a perfect solution.

Super I fitted mine at the weekend and the car still works so it cant be all bad haha. It did compress as I did up the fasteners so I know ive got a good seal. On less place to think about if she spring and air leak!
