Bought myself a sand blaster from a place in retford. Makes restoring parts easy! It was a worth while £95 Ive already had my money worth out of it in the week ive owned it!

Just been back and unfortunately the jetta mounts they got in were a bigger diameter. more ARSE. But the bearings were the same. So ill be back on the research later but it looks like the cheapest way to get these is to go straight to porsche as thats how the suppliers get them.

More learning required.

if they are the right ones who would be interested in some? Theyre a lot nearly £50 cheaper than the ones D911 are selling

Right they have turned up and look stop on! I will report back when theyre fitted but, I can get hold of them at roughly £30 a pair Rather than £140 a pair. It depends how many people are interested, as to how cheap they will be. I'm not looking to make any money out of you guy, just help out fellow porka owners.

ill let you know once therye fitted as to how good they are.

They fit straight in, and the bearings feel nice and smooth. At trip to bush tyres this morning for a wheel alignment. So she is a much more stable beast now!

So who wants a set?

Broady great detective work!

So what car and year are these modern replacement mounts meant to fit? I love that the Audi/VW/Skoda parts bins have so many useful bits for our cars. The part number needs to be known by all :)

They are from USA spec MK2 Jettas. No idea why the spec changers between USA and UK but it does. Ive seen 3 or 4 different UK ones and they arent the same.

Like I say we can bulk order them nice and cheaply though. Ive just ordered 4 and including shipping it came in at £51 with 4 days door to door.

I haven't any spare sets as I only ordered one at first just make to sure it was right. I had rather anticipated that quite a few people would be interested in these to make a bulk order and get them even cheaper.

As current stock stands, if 5 people want a pair they are £19.20 plus postage from me to you

But on and individual basis they're £37.10 plus postage from me to you which is still cheap but not the bargain it could be :D

Must be loads of cars out there that would benefit from a set of these. Its worth having a set just in case or for when you rebuild your struts, which we all do at some point. At that price it would be daft not to. :bounce:
