Cleaned about 20lbs of mud off and out of the car after the last rally, topped up the fluids and put it down for a bit of sleep for a week or 2 in the garage.

@ Andy

I've had an 83 car as a daily for 6 years, the S2 is tucked up in my garage having a steady stream of funds thrown at it over the winter months 8)

This is great. Did it work? My currently is fine. But I MIT just put this on anyway. Would stop wiper hitting anything if it did fail

ROFL    ...just 6 weeks...that's nothing! Usually it's months or even years (well it was in my case!)...

Haha!! True, but I only planned to replace the cam chain tensioner pads......a couple of hours work, not 6 weeks!!

Good news is she has passed the MOT, few advisories, but won't know what they are until by other half gets home.

What I did in my 944 today was an emergency brake test in the wet mid corner when I was confronted with 5 deer  on a country road.

They did not have antlers so I assumed they were not gathering to pull Santa,s sleigh

Car stopped safely with no drama............loving my Porky 944.

Worked on the 924 project car...

Fitted a new BOSCH starter motor and started the car for the first time since buying it!

:bounce:

Then I fitted the last item to the refurbished front end - the anti roll bar with all new bushes:

Then lowered the car off the axle stands and tightened up the SPAX damper top nuts.

Ho-ho-rah

Peculiar situation isn't it? I'm hoping to have that same experience soon. I've never owned a car that I've never driven.

This morning I went for a 200 mile blast over the Cotswolds to collect a 99p item which finishes off the early OEM Eckel roof rack I bought some while ago

Where's the snow!!?? Period 1980 skis
Image

Car worked well in the wind, rain and shine. A, B and M roads at full chat as well as a several mile stop start tailback on the M5. The car is now filthy and looks used
