Wondering if anyone can help me here, to release some money for work on my early car I am looking to sell the seats from my Oval dash car (a long way off being on the road). Now I think they are leather and they look original and not a recover job. The question is: did Porsche do a vinyl version like these and if not and they are leather as I think (just want to be an honest seller) what would they be worth, i know it is what people are willing to pay but just a ballpark figure would do.
The drivers seat is electric and works and the only mark whatsoever is the crease on the drivers seat (Picture 1) that I suppose I could get treated if it was cost effective, I have the rears as well.
Many thanks for any help Guys and Girls :D

Hi, lovely seats, they certainly look like they are leather. The small amount of scuffing on the bolster can easily be rectified with glyptone products. I would think that there are many people out there who would be willing to pay a good price for these, but I cant really advise on what that might be... The VW fraternity would love these in their cars too!

With regard to the rear seats, they may not be leather as many were just black vinyl. There is definitely a texture and feel difference between the two materials.

It is a shame that you have to sell them (you might regret it later?), but as always - needs must!

There is an option code for full leather (seats, doorcards etc) which is very rare and probaby cost the earth when new. Most interiors advertised as leather only have leather on the top sides of the front seats. The backs and rear seats are vinyl . If you feel the front and back of the seat they should feel different (unless you have the full leather! - check the option codes in your handbook or rear boot sticker)

Thanks for the replies, I am realistic enough to know that the second car is a long time off being on the and tbh it may end up as a track car or just spares for me, The seats are currently used by the kids as gaming chairs
Going to check my boot sticker now, thanks.

None of those option codes specify leather seats. Yes - the front facings look like leather, but as stated the backs and sides are probably vinyl. The rears probably vinyl too.

Option codes can be checked against a list at Clarks Garage.

They do look as theough theyre recovers to me. Is there any sign that the covers have been refitted? Its the seam rea between the headrest and the top of the side bolsters which betrays it. Its common for retrimmed or recovered seats to not quite fit right there.

This probably wont make a difference to the price that you receive, though.

These are not quite as tidy as the previous pic, so I will presume they are recovers. I will still probably sell them or may advertise them as a swap for some beige/linen coloured ones, the money raised would have only gone on the new interior so swings and rounabouts really :D
