Sorry, I was editing to make that clearer. Im guessing that the old battery was an 067. After their £5 discount CP4L are cheaper than Car battery World!

Sorry James. Ive wondered what the craic was with Bosch sizes and battery sizes in general, so I got stuck in, instead of doing any proper work! :D

Most of the Bosch batteries will fit fine. As will the Exide equivalents (the latter have served me well on most cars).

Do not get a Unipart battery. In two cars (an Alfa Romeo 147 and my Ford Mondeo) they were taller than their Halfords, Exide and Bosch equivalents, which made for getting the battery strap back on fun (in the case of the Alfa, the garage left it (funny how it passed an MOT, but I shall leave that for another time...).

If it were me, I would go with the widest you can fit, which you seem to have done :).

Yep, I have that exact one in my 84 lux and it fits fine.

Whatever the correct size is, when I ordered the biggest Bosch battery that Euro Car Parts said would fit my early 944, it's actually too big. Initially it fouled the wiper arm, but I put a support under the battery to lift it out of the way.

The battery clamp appears to have sheared off years ago, but this battery is so huge it can't move, and has since passed 2 MOT's.
