What an excellent summary of life, and a great way to rethink work. I hope you are able to hire the right people to do the right jobs, and continue to do what you enjoy.

All well and good, I'm still looking forward to the 924 road trips.

Sounds like a well thought out plan for both body and soul :)

I hope you are back to full fitness soon and look forward to catching up with at some point later in the year.

Good to hear you're on the mend Jon. The new outlook on life makes sense as well. Hopefully my turbo fits into your plans of getting your hands dirty and working on interesting cars. So when you are ready get it booked in for making it run even better than Porsche intended :D

Stay well

I am getting there and things are improving every day with the health, so I can't wait to meet all you guys who I have not seen for a while, as well as those I have not met yet, especially as I missed the National Day this year :(

Thanks for all the best wishes, and if any of you want a project Porsche, or a ready to go one, my mission today is to start to put wheels in motion in selling some of my unfinished projects and surplus cars.

Some of them have started being put in the website under the cars for sale bit, and a new section which is "projects and trade ins"

Good examples would be an 80's 911 Turbo, the 930 widdowmaker, which just needs paint and a windscreen (runs and drives) all the way through to 924's!

I just don't have the time, I need to de clutter and de stress my life, and even though I have said it before, I do need to get shot of some of my cars!

I want to get down to just two Porsche, one a track day beast and one a sunday country lane fun on wheels, so there is even a chance I might be selling my favourite 86 white 944 turbo that I always thought I would never sell, but I do not ever drive it, I pamper it and if the right new owner came along with the right amount of money they could own what I consider to be the cleanest 944 turbo around other than the factory museum ones.

Cars are there to be enjoyed, people are here for living :)

I think I'd best leave this thread before trouble occurs in my life :D

Would it help Paul if I told you the "WidowMaker" has a full stainless fabspeed exhaust, hybrid turbo, dual port wastegate with electronic control, Kokeln intercooler and about £12,000 worth of other kit on it, which makes 425BHP at only the standard 0.7 Bar of boost, and at 1.2 bar the wheels spin on the dyno so we could not get a good reading :)

Yet these parts have only been used for 1000 road miles, and it looks stock, but we also have the stock parts to make it standard again :)

I have always said that after it has it paint I would keep it for a while, but sell it before it killed me, itself and a hedge.. But I need to keep my heart rate down and not get too excited for the near future, so now I could not do that because otherwise just going for a quick drive would probably kill me through cardiac arrest.

It could do with some wider rear wheels, but I like the standard Fuchs ones, so it remained a potential tyre shredder!

I drove the second generation widowmaker aka tuned 996GT2. My wife went berserk when she found out it's moniker and told me not to go near it :D

Oh that's tame next to this widowmaker, which has more power and about half as much tyre footprint... I would never make a good car salesman! lol

"yes Sir, 6 month warranty... if you live that long.."
