That's what Mrs anybody is like... they just don't seem to understand.

The ferry tickets are booked, the hotels in Versaille and Bruge are booked, but now I'm trying to convince the wife why it's better to go for the thousand-mile drive in the Porsche rather than the Audi A4 estate.

Her argument for the Audi, which I can partly agree with - more room (don't need it), more comfortable, air conditioning (never use it), great economy because it's a diesel (it's a road trip, who cares?).

My argument for the Porsche - it's a Porsche. What else can't she understand!

I can't see the problem!
