Well the SELNK group have just had a great morning down at OPC Tonbridge, thanks to John & Aaron. Two of us wanted a test drive in a Cayman.
Malcolm Greer went first & came back with a massive grin on his face, as a Merc owner of old you tell he was well smitten by the Porsche experience :D

I was next, it is a 2.7 Cayman in Midnight Blue (gorgeous colour) with full black leather & on 19" rims. I was very impressed, ride is fantastic & steering sublime. The howl as the 2.7 went through 4,000RPM was addictive as well & could be very dangerous for my already damaged licence  The steering was good if anything the controls are slightly lighter than the 944 & around the same weight as the Jags but excellent.

Now all I have to do is find a way of raising some cash :(

They had some stunning cars there,a Turbo in the workshop being prepped for sale, and a 928 & a 964. Outside a white Cayman  & a white Cayenne  Loads of Cayennes for sale s/h plus a lovely red Boxster with black wheels with a silver outer rim. In the pound was a 993 Turbo, as well as a 997 Turbo.

In all a fantastic day.

I had a spin out in a Cayman S last weekend.

Very impressed and yes it does make a great sound over 4k

I've had to adopt a policy of no test drives unless I want to buy :D

A great morning out, I have to say. Thanks to Paul and Jim for organizing.

I can agree with that, test drives are dangerous to the wallet :)
